Civil Rights Movement Photo/Video Montage at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC

For those of you who will find yourselves in New York City any time soon, you must check out the larger-than-life photo/video montage by Spike and David Lee that is displayed on the outside of the Port Authority Bus Terminal at the corner of 41st St. and 8th Ave. The display is a huge video screen of revolving black and white photos from the Civil Rights era. From what I could tell as I stood spellbound on the corner in the middle of rush hour, there are shots from rallies, marches, protests and television spots during the Movement. Selma, AL gets its props in a picture of a rally that features a middle-aged white woman holding a sign identifying her as a "Selmaian" in favor of civil rights. If you can brave the cold, this display will warm your heart.
